Rhizome is a sustainability design firm. The firm doesn't just do sustainable design but aims to design products whose production-to-consumption systems impact sustainability.
Rhizome believes sustainability needs to be brought into the mainstream to be relevant. The philosophy is to achieve this by designing products based on the craft tradition, that can be made from locally available, renewable/upcycled materials, produced equitably by local communities, in line with commercially viable markets—making them culturally, ecologically, socially, and economically sustainable. Projects range from large national branding projects to micro level projects with craft groups. The firm also does a lot of social design projects. |

Role & Responsibilities

Prerequisites
|
Must love travelling, working with craft groups, and being the change you want to see. You need to be someone who is as comfortable in an international office as in a small village in rural India with limited facilities.
