Background
Idiog Consultancy Services is an emerging knowledge and media consultancy firm. Its ongoing projects include Station (Thought Leadership Summit), Smanvay (Development Research and CSR wing), Urbania (Urban Policy Lab) and Pragya Balika Fellowship (Gender Action Research Fellowship).  They as a team believe in providing quality services and have maintained a fine balance of inclusive approach across all their ongoing projects. The theme of all their projects are a mix of action research along with the implementation of proven models. Their aim is to promote and implement models that are backed by rigorous research while also engaging their stakeholders in a healthy dialogue to create an informed discourse.
Roles & Responsibilites
The research intern will work on Idiog's Urbania Project and will engage in the following
  • Creating directory of stakeholders related to Urban Governance and ongoing innovation. 
  • Identifying gap in the existing system and recommendations for the same. 
  • Meeting with stakeholders along with the Idiog team. 
  • Writing commentaries on urban problems.
  • Connecting with innovators either from grassroots or from technical institutions.

The Urbania Project works towards understanding the status of urban reforms in detail and their post-implementation issues through secondary evidence. Under this project, policy briefs are drafted that are solution oriented and designed to address the issues that act as a hindrance from making the project successful in order to reach out to the beneficiaries. The aim of Urbania is to promote innovative models catering to urban issues through pilot projects. The Urbania Project operates in the thematic areas of transport, water, environment, built environment, energy, management services, resources and industry, education, governance, and government advisory.
Prerequisites
Idiog is looking for a candidate who:
  • Has an understanding of urban problems, its administration and ongoing innovation.
  • Has experience of managing projects within limited time.
  • Has leadership, writing and documentation skills. 
  • Has fieldwork experience.
  • Has successfully managed meetings with organisation stakeholders.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Remuneration will be granted based on competency. 
  • Traveling allowance would be provided.
  • Certificate of experience and recommendation letter will be given after successful completion of the project.
  • Candidates will get the opportunity to be organisation representatives in leading events in Delhi NCR.
