Background
Why Indian Men Rape is a multimedia gender journalism and activism project that spans two books, a documentary and an active online presence, over several years. With it, the project's creator Tara* Kaushal and her research team would like to thoroughly explore the gamut of unique ethnological reasons—social, cultural, traditional, legal, economic, geographic, religious, psychological, etc—that cause sexual violence in the subcontinent.

Roles & Responsibilities
Why Indian Men Rape's blog, Pass the Mic has been releasing a series of short interviews with victims of sexual violence called Survivor Stories. Thus, the team requires a video editor who would be able to edit these videos.

Prerequisites
  • The candidate should own a computer or have access to a computer with a good quality video editing software.
  • The candidate should have knowledge of and experience with editing software.
  • English language fluency is a must.
  • The candidate should be able to edit intelligently, that too  in a discerning manner.
  • Also, the candidate should have the ability to follow page edits.

Compensation & Benefits
INR 2000 per video
